Harbour Dining Chair, Black Steel Base, Plastic

Designer Norm Architects

Conceived during the design process for Audo’s new creative destination Audo House located in Copenhagen’s thriving Nordhavn (Northern Harbour) area, the Harbour Chair is the result of fulfilling a variety of needs (among others) comfortable versatility. Designed specifically for Audo House, the dining chair is ideal for anything from restaurants, conferences, offices, or in the comfort of one’s own home.

A hybrid space that mixes office, showroom, café, co-working and event space in One, Audo House required a chair that could suit a range of purposes. Finding a perfect balance between geometry and organic shapes, the shell’s armrests bend outwards for maximum support, as does its high backrest, providing not only comfort, but also an elegant and slim appearance that will appeal to any discerning design aficionado.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Norm Architects

Founded in Copenhagen in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, Norm Architects specialises in residential architecture, commercial interiors, industrial design, photography and art direction. The name reflects the studio’s emphasis on drawing inspiration from norms and traditions in architecture and design—particularly the Scandinavian design ideology of timeless aesthetics and natural materials and Modernist ideas of restraint and refinement. Guided by these principles, Norm Architects creates designs that unite materials and craftsmanship while embodying beauty, history and, most importantly, timeless simplicity—with nothing more to add or subtract. A longstanding collaborator with Audo, Norm Architects helps to drive the evolution of the brand and its products with the same fundamental ethos that guides its own creative direction: a simplicity that carries bigger ideas.
